She shares her perspective on the events and how a school community can be proactive and be prepared for the unthinkable, providing real solutions for school safety and recovery.
10:30AM-Noon Introduction to the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and the Standard Reunification Method (SRM) – John-Michael Keyes
The Standard Response Protocol is a proven enhancement to school safety planning. This presentation has been developed to assist law enforcement, school & district personnel, and other first responders & stakeholders in rapidly training the common language and actions of The Standard Response Protocol. The Standard Reunification Method provides school and district safety and stakeholder teams with proven methods for planning, practicing and achieving a successful reunification in the event of a school crisis or emergency. The conformance of the SRP & SRM to FEMA guidance about plain language and the simplicity of implementation has resulted in thousands of schools and law enforcement agencies implementing these programs.
