Erie County Law Enforcement Foundation Announces 2019 Awardees
The Erie County Law Enforcement Foundation has announced the 2019 Recipients of their Community Service Awards, which honors distinguished individuals for dedicated service and outstanding contributions to law enforcement. The awards will be presented on Thursday, May 16th at 6:00pm at Ekl’s on Larkin, 703 Seneca Street, 8th Floor, Buffalo NY 14210. The annual event is hosted and sponsored by the Erie County Law Enforcement Foundation, which is also celebrating their 32nd year of establishment at this event.
The following individuals will be honored at this year’s event:
Captain Steven C. Graap - NYS Police Department - 25 Year Veteran of the New York State Police, and current Zone 2 Commander at the Clarence, NY Barracks.
Chief Daniel Granville - Erie County Sheriff’s Office - Narcotics Enforcement Officer, played instrumental role in having the Narcotics Unit become an elite squad.
Officer Scott Harmon - Erie County Probation Department - Helped make over 2,000 arrests of felony and misdemeanor absconders. Recovered dozens of firearms and drugs off the streets of WNY.
Investigator Chris Dipasquale - NFTA Transit Police Department - Senior investigator of several prominent cases, including gang activity on a Metro Bus.
Detective Michael Wells - Kenmore Police Department - Almost 20 years of service and several risings in the ranks with the Kenmore Police Department.
SAC Kevin Kelly - Homeland Security Investigations - Oversees the Buffalo location for the Homeland Security Investigations, covering 48 counties in New York State.
ADA Amy Goldstein - Erie County District Attorney’s Office - Longest remaining female Assistant District Attorney, with 33 years of service at the Erie County District Attorney Office.
Chief Mark Pacholec - Town of Orchard Park Police Dept. - Marine Corp Veteran who fought in Desert Storm, and was an instrumental leader of the Orchard Park Police Department for several years.
Assistant Chief Michael B. Boehringer - West Seneca Police Dept. - Has served the West Seneca Police Department for almost 30 years.
AUSA Tim Lynch - US Attorney’s Office - Chief of the Narcotics and Organized Crime section of the United States Attorney’s Office. Successfully prosecuted Arafat Nagi for attempting to provide materials to ISIS.
Delaware North - Community Service Award
Sam Palmiere - US Attorney’s Office - Grover Cleveland Award - Retired Police Chief of the Tonawanda Police Department, Special investigator for the United States Attorney’s Office, and chairman of the Erie County Law Enforcement Foundation.
